Learning Online prepares students to succeed in the online learning environment. This resource is a guide to the various components of online education, be they synchronous or asynchronous, paced or self-paced, and helps students understand their role as online learners alongside other students and their instructors. Though developed for the Athabasca University, Faculty of Health Disciplines learners, much of the content is translatable to learners across institutions and programs. It develops a mindset for independent learning and introduces effective strategies for learning online: time management, information management, professional communication, and reading strategies.
