The Wolves at My Shadow: The Story of Ingelore Rothschild was released at the beginning of the month. This memoir recounts the escape of a prominent Jewish family from Nazi Germany through Russia to Japan. You can read an excerpt here.

My Decade at Old Sun, My Lifetime of Hell by Arthur Bear Chief was a number one non-fiction bestseller in Edmonton at the beginning of April. Bear Chief’s memoir also won gold in regional non-fiction (Canada West) in the Independent Publisher Awards!

The April edition of the RISE book club featured Arthur Bear Chief’s residential school memoir. The final in-person event was held on Saturday, April 29. Thank you to the Edmonton Public Library for letting us use the space at the Castle Downs branch.
